Testimonials

" I stayed at Arburd Sands in July 2005. It's about three hours from Ulaanbaatar, right on the edge of the Gobi desert, where green velvet-like hills meet the sand—an incredible landscape. What I loved most was its remote location. Unlike the tense atmosphere in Ulaanbaatar, where crime was a concern, the camp felt completely safe—I even left my ger unlocked. As a traveler who avoids touristy spots, I found Arburd Sands refreshingly real. If you're like me and want to embrace local life, skip the cheesy ger camps near the city and head here instead. "

" Stayed here after two weeks riding across Outer Mongolia. The gers were spacious, clean and well furnished. The staff were helpful and friendly and even came and started a fire in our ger when the weather turned wet and windy. The food was superb with plenty of choice. We even rode on their camels and had a try at archery in ceremonial dress.
Would love to visit again. "

" Delightful stay in a great camp where you live in a "luxury" Ger, eat delicious food and experience life in the desert. Camel Riding was a highlight. The toilet was clean and there was also a washbasin. The Camp has its own Ger where you can take a shower in warm water. The hosts were pleasant and helpful. I would recommend a stay here highly. "
